BMU’s for commercial buildings- America

  • Height: 110 m
  • Date: 2012
  • Units: 2
  • Location: America

Technical Challenges:

Inward sloping facades.

The inward sloping facade of one of the buildings demanded a design that could be efective on this kind of designs.

Heliport

The roof of the bilding counted with an heliport and the area destinated for the BMU movements were quite narrow.

Manufacturing and installation

BMU in operation

Our solution:

The different profiles of the facade demanded the installation of a big pantograph (4 meters long) onto the long jib installed on this GPI model (10 m long). In order to keep the machine weight as balanced as possible, the pantograph was manufactured with very light materials.

Despite the big components in the BMU, our engineers managed to minimize the size of the machine to guarantee safe and agile movements.
